"Too bad, rain check then." he said, hurrying away, and Tyler hunched over in his seat, trying to turn invisible as his face burned. This was such a bad idea. As he turned to look for Emily and Shay, though, he found that they had disappeared. As he searched for them, his eyes happened to land squarely on another set across the club. The man that owned them was gorgeous in a rugged sort of way, with a sturdy frame usually associated with football players and unruly dark hair. His green eyes flicked over Tyler, and a confident smile crossed his handsome face as he threaded his way through the crowd towards the bar, where Tyler sat frozen like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming car. Scrambling to get his body to respond, Tyler barely managed to unfreeze himself in time to look up as the man stopped beside him, leaning one hip against the counter.
"Hey." his voice was low and smooth, washing over Tyler and making him shiver a little. "I'm Jake. You look lonely sitting over here by yourself, mind if I..?" He motioned to the stool beside Tyler, and he nodded.
"Um, I'm...Tyler." the eighteen year old said a little awkwardly, not sure if he was supposed to use his real name while dressed up like a woman. Jake seated himself, and turned his eyes back to Tyler, looking at him like he was the only thing that existed in the universe.
"Nice to meet you. First time here?"
"Am I that obvious?" Tyler asked, and Jake chuckled, nodding.
"It's not a bad thing." the older man assured him. "It's kind of cute actually." Tyler blushed, smoothing his skirt nervously and crossing his legs, causing the tiny denim garment to ride higher still on his smooth thighs. They made small talk with surprising ease, and Tyler found himself relaxing into his new persona, flirting a little and, to his own surprise, dropping little innuendos. Jake was quite receptive to those, dialing up the heat in his green eyes as he looked Tyler slowly up and down in a way that made him quiver. As Tyler soon discovered, Jake was in his late thirties, and recently single. This was his first night out in a long time.
